On the occasion to celebrate the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day on November 20, Daikin Air Conditioning Vietnam in collaboration with HCMC University of Techonology and Education (HCMUTE) held Daikin Scholarhip 2015 ceremony on 17th of November for oustanding students from Department of Thermotechnics & Refrigeration of HCMUTE. There were ten scholarships with a total value of 50 million VND presented at the ceremony.
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang – Vice president of Daikin Vietnam, Dr. Ngo Van Thuyen- Vice President of HCMUTE, and Dr. Dang Thanh Trung – chairman of Thermotechnics & Refrigeration department, together with Daikin staffs and final year students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang said it was indeed an honor to present these scholarships and shared invaluable practical experience to students. She also welcomes fresh graduate from HCMUTE to work and contribute their skills and best efforts for Daikin, a world-leading HVAC manufacturer.
In addition, Mr. Ho Thai Phong –Consulting & Design Manager, proudly introduced latest technologies and innovations that will improve energy efficient in buildings through three solutions: Air conditioning system solution, Ventilation System solution, Operation and Management solution. Mr. Phong also expected to build more relationship with HCMUTE by arranging excursions, training sessions to help students gain more real-world experience.
The most interesting part of the ceremony was the introduction of job opportunities, internship programs for students presented by Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – Human Resource Manager. Ms. Thuy and Daikin staffs, who were also former HCMUTE students, consulted and brought out useful information for students, taught them how to promote their qualifications, interview with an employer and present themselves in a positive and professional manner.
