On 19th October 2016, Daikin Vietnam has been officially awarded the AEO by the HCMC Customs Deputy Director – Phan Minh Le – represented for the General Department of Customs.

Daikin Vietnam opens around 100 Customs declarations on average for imported goods monthly. In the first 9 months FY2016, Daikin Vietnam imported goods with a turn-over of $US 155 million and paid tax of over 1,700 billion VND. The Goods imported for distribution in Vietnam market include Residential air conditioners (AC) including wall-mounted, multi, air purifiers; Commercial AC Skyair; Central AC system – VRV; Packaged AC; and Chillers.
For the fact that Daikin Vietnam has imported a huge number of goods, they always complies well with Customs law and regulations, which is highly appreciated by the Customs.
The Authorized Economic Operator System has been applied in many countries of the world. Currently, the Customs has recognised 54 AEOs, including 9 enterprises in HCMC. AEO receive not only the priority in Customs procedures of domestic import and export but also the enhancement in the reputation for overseas export.
Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang, the President of Daikin Vietnam, said that the AEO support enterprises with priority in import and export activities, which is a great opportunity especially when Vietnam is integrating with the global economy. Being certified as an Authorized Economic Operator, enterprises commit to always comply with the provisions of Vietnam Laws and Regulations.
